RESULTS
The graph to the right shows the percentage of total population of people in rural areas and urban areas during the time of 1850 to the 1900s. The graph compares the difference between the rural and urban areas and how rural population decreased as time went on while urban living increased as time went on. Although rural living was always more than urban, urban population went from 15 percent in 1850 to 40 percent in 1900. The rise of urbanization led to a lot of congestion in the city but as a whole was important because it led to the rise of many big businesses and changed the work system.
